Grannys Gourmet Donuts – When You Go To Bozeman, Montana
First – Let me be very clear – When you go to Bozeman, Montana you HAVE to go to Grannys Gourmet Donuts!
Second – These are good donuts! Buy at least two of them to eat right then and there AND buy at least two more to take with you and eat later that day.
Third – There is no way in hell that these are gourmet donuts.
Granted – Portland, Oregon, my home base is one of the best donuts destinations in the United States, and I am very spoiled when it comes to incredible donuts!
That being said – I do not want you to see the name of this donut shop, and go there expecting to enjoy a truly gourmet donut. These are not Blue Star Donuts.
Granny’s in a Nutshell
Let’s see… How shall I describe this donut shop…
This is kind of like a clean “Dive Bar” donut shop. Please understand, I LOVE Dive Bars. If you don’t believe me just go to Portland Dive Bars – www.PortlandDiveBars.com
You can also check out the podcast I did with Don Frye about Bozeman’s own Haufbrau House Dive Bar – Don Frye Haufbrau House Dive Bar Portland Culinary Podcast Episode 41 www.portlandculinarypodcast.com/don-frye-haufbrau-house-dive-bar-portland-culinary-podcast-episode-41
Grannys is also Kitschy AF in a very delightful way. The décor is part of what makes this a very appealing stop that you don’t want to miss!
PLEASE NOTE – this is a CASH ONLY establishment. Don’t even think about showing them your debit card.
One Interesting Note – This article was published Jan 2019. At that time, the most recent post on the Granny’s Gourmet Donuts Facebook page was April 19, 2014. Go see for yourself – https://www.facebook.com/grannysgourmetdonuts
